Human Rights
We believe in peaceful and nonviolent ways to achieve human rights, justice, and democracy for all.
At RI-SE, we strive for a world where the true definition of democracy and independence is achieved, where all people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work, and in communities around the world. We believe and we advocate for the implementation of international human rights standards as stated by United Nations Universal Declaration, “human rights are universal – to be enjoyed by all people, no matter who they are or where they live. The Universal Declaration includes civil and political rights, like the right to life, liberty, free speech, and privacy.”
Although this declaration is not legally binding, because it remains a declaration, not a treaty, RI-SE aspires to mobilize international institutions and non-government organizations to influence decisions in the direction of respect for human rights.
